We are glad to welcome you to the Westminster website.  The goal for our web ministry is to provide you the information you need to learn more about Christ's community of faith--Westminster--here in the Five Points District of Raleigh.

Grace and Peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!  I am excited that you are seeking to learn more about Westminster Presbyterian Church, part of the body of Christ here in the Five Points District of Raleigh, North Carolina!

As you surf the pages of our website, I hope you find the information you need to determine where you may choose to worship and live out your faith with a community of believers.  Westminster has been serving the community and providing meaningful worship services for just under 100 years.   As we near the next 100 years of our life, we are poised to continue having an impact on our community and to be a church that is the "heart and soul" of our surrounding neighborhood.

In an era in which an individual or family can access matters of faith or spirituality on their own terms, why consider attending and becoming a member of a local congregation?  For me, it comes down to one word--community.  The Greek word in the New Testament was Koinonia and its meaning goes far beyond what we understand "community" to be today.  Koinonia in the early church was intimate fellowship--the sharing of each others lives among the followers of Jesus Christ.  Becoming part of a church is that opportunity to share in the lives of others through worship together, faith development opportunities together, serving others together, breaking bread together, sharing our joys and our grief together.
