Jonathan was nurtured in the faith by his family and through the Church.  The youngest of six children, he is the fifth pastor in his family.  Jonathan's father, who died in 2010, was a pastor.  His mother is still an active Commissioned Lay Pastor.  Brother Marc, who died in 2009, was a pastor, and brother David is actively serving a Presbyterian congregation.  Jonathan is married to Dr. Camille Grady Sherrod, a practicing veterinarian and Director of Veterinary Technology at Miller-Motte College  Their daughter Zane is ten years old and a student in the Wake County Public Schools.

Jonathan is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA (now called Union Presbyterian Seminary).  He has served pastorates in North and South Carolina, but has mostly served the PC(USA) as a camp and conference center director, serving camps in the Carolina's.

The Sherrod's love going to the beach, where they can kayak, cast the "seine" net for bait fish, and collect shells.  Family game night is their favorite activity together where intense competition over Monopoly occurs.  Their family is rounded out with Isa, the dog, and Norman and Cooper the cats.

Laura has been with Westminster since December of 2009. She has been married to her husband Steve for  20 years and together they have two children, Josh, age 15, and Celine, age 12. Laura attended Northern Virginia Communitiy College and the University of Massachusetts.

John is an auditor with the NC Department of Transportation.  He has lived in the Raleigh area for 14 years.  He has served Westminster since August 2010.  John began his church music ministry at Fairview United Methodist Church in Danville, VA at the age of 12 years old.  He served Fairview as Organist and eventually Director of Music for 17 years before moving to North Carolina.  He was then Organist and Director of Music for West Nash United Methodist Church in Wilson, NC for 5 years, prior to being transferred to Las Vegas, NV.  John is happy to be back in Raleigh and thankful to be a part of the ministry of Westminster.

Dani has been the Director of the MMO/Preschool Program at Westminster since its beginning almost 10 years ago. She is happily married with 2 children, Parker (age 14) and Ellis(age 10 months).  She lives with her family in Cary and loves serving as the Director of such a wonderful Preschool Program.

Marilyn has been a handbell director for 28 years in Virginia and North Carolina directing children's, teen's, adult's, and now a mature adult's handbell choir. She has worked with ringers with skill levels from beginning ringing to concert choir. Currently, she serves as the North Carolina State Chair for the national Handbell Musicians of America. For 22 years she has worked as an organizer of the Capital Area Handbell Festival in Raleigh. She has been Westminster's Handbell Director for 18 years.
