Member Betty Ray was recently recognized by New Hope Presbytery as an Outstanding Older Adult in the Presbytery.  She joins other notable older adult Presbyterians in the region in this recognition.  Below is her write up that will appear in the Presbytery's publications on her award.

Betty Ray is a true Christian lady who lives her faith.  Despite having health problems, she is always ready to help others.  She never refuses to drive those who are unable to do so to doctor’s appointments, Sunday morning worship, and other church activities.  She visits with home bound members regularly.  Betty tirelessly served on the Pastor Nominating Committee and has served as a Deacon, the worship committee, and the church officer nominating committee.  She currently serves on the Congregational Care committee, and is a Handbell Choir member.  She especially is known for calling members and sending them cards when they seem to need support the most.  Betty is an avid student of Scripture, attending studies at church as well as an ecumenical study.

Betty also provides the candy in the candy dish in the church lobby.  Congratulations Betty Ray!
