We provide services such as Sunday morning worship, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, nursery, visiting the sick, home communion, fellowship dinners, Blankets for the Poor, and rummage sales. We also host Girl Scout meetings and Mother's Morning Out as well as Senior Citizen groups. We provide for community gatherings including a polling place for voting.

* Alcoholics Anonym*
We host weekly AA meetinous gs at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays (20 attendees), Fridays (30 attendees), and Sundays (65-70 attendees). Also phone AA 24 Hour Hotline at (919) 783-6144 or e-mail intergroup@nctriaa.org.

* Al-Anon/Alateen *
Help for families and friends of alcoholics. We host two weekly Al-anon meetings with 10-15 attendees each: Tuesday 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Alateens meets here at 8:00 Monday nights. Also phone (919-787-1653) or e-mail help@alanonwakenc.org.

* AARP Tax-Aide *
Our church provides space for an AARP Tax-Aide center where volunteers provide free tax consulting assistance to AARP members. (Mon. & Tues, 1-4 p.m., February-April 15. No appointment required.)

* The Helen Wright Center for Women *
Members of our church bring dinner and help feed homeless residents of the Helen Wright Center for Women (formerly known as the Ark) four times a year. This shelter provides emergency/ transitional housing, meals, and support for 36 women who would otherwise be homeless. Each year, the Center provides shelter to over 500 different individuals. * The Christian Life Home *
A home for women in unplanned pregnancy which provides care, counseling, shelter, and life skills training in a loving Christian family atmosphere. Phone (919-510-5400) or e-mail info@christianlifehome.com.

* Habitat for Humanity *
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing ministry. Since its founding in 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Wake County (HFHWC) has built 300 homes for and with working families unable to obtain conventional loans. Phone (919) 833-1999 or e-mail volunteer@habitatwake.org.

* Loaves and Fishes *
Loaves and Fishes is a non-profit organization in Raleigh, North Carolina providing long-term support for inner-city children needing individualized assistance in the development of academic and social skills. Phone (919) 231-4687 or e-mail loavesandfishes@nc.rr.com.

* Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen *
The Church of The Good Shepherd Soup Kitchen provides a hot weekday meal to over 250 people daily. Phone (919) 831-2010 or e-mail info@cgs-raleigh.org.

* Urban Ministries of Wake County *
Urban Ministries of Wake County strives to alleviate the effects of poverty in Wake County by meeting people's basic needs for food, shelter and healthcare, providing services that promote self-sufficiency, building awareness of the issues of poverty within the larger community and maximizing volunteer support and in-kind donations to leverage financial support.
